'Ugly Mugs'
A crime prevention initiative by the PCV

'Ugly Mugs' was a crime prevention initiative introduced by the former 'Prostitutes Collective of Victoria' aimed specifically at the safety of street sex workers. The scheme, supported by the Victorian Police, encouraged street sex workers to file 'Ugly Mug' reports to the PCV in order to build a data base of offenders.

The crime prevention intiative resulted in a decrease in attacks upon street sex workers and was the recipient of a Community Crime Prevention award.
