FOR SALE: 100 individually signed ready-to-frame limited edition original animation cels from "Revolving Door - the animated documentary " Hi. Obviously, we made it back home, having survived the gruelling flight to Brasil, where we attended the most fantastic film festival ever, and in which "Revolving Door" was awarded in the 'Southern Panoramas' competition section of the 16th International Electronic Art Festival SESC_Videobrasil the 'Contemporary Investigations Acquisition Prize', awarded by international jury Sao Paulo, Brasil, October 2007. We're so inspired we want to do it all again, which means we need to make another film. It is now to this end that we are trying to raise some necessary money. As part of this epic fundraising effort we be selling DVD copies of "Revolving Door" as well as selling a limited release of hand-signed and hand-coloured original frames from "Revolving Door - the animated documentary", mounted and ready to frame. This is a unique opportunity to literally own a piece of this very original film, and every frame sold goes one step further in helping Alex & Dave get their next project up so they can travel and then the tag of 'help bring Alex & Dave back home!' will once again make sense ...
Each unique, hand-coloured frame is one of the actual frames that appear in the film. The timecode range listed corresponds to the time at which the shot appears withn the film, and also gives an indication as to the number of unique frames that comprise a single shot. For example, Shot 040, 'Gatwick Hotel interior - close-up postcard "Girls in the Night"', timecode ('T/C') 03:00.03 - 03:01.14 appears on-screen at 3 minutes and 3 frames (where every second of film comprises 25 frames) and runs until 3 minutes, one second and 14 frames, for a total duration of one second and 11 frames ... so, doing some quick maths, this means there's approximately 36 unique, hand drawn frames making up that particular shot. Each frame is approx. 210mm x 290mm, treated with a specially formulated, mixed media approach that combines equal parts ink, blood, chalk, sweat, pencil and tears on 82 gsm paper, signed by the artists (Alex & Dave) and identified by its unique timecode 'burnt in' to the top left-hand corner of each frame, mounted and ready to frame. These unique artworks, destined to be collector items, can be yours for a mere $120.00 Australian dollars (which is practically nothing if you're from overseas), plus postage and handling. Quantities are strictly limited, so don't delay.
